Senior Programmer

22cans are looking for a talented Senior Programmer to work at our studio in Guildford. You’d be working as part of a small multi-disciplinary team with a great track record made up of industry veterans, experienced devs and great new talent.

As part of the programming team you will work closely with all other disciplines to bring game features to life and create a solid and polished experience for our players. We have a reputation for innovation within games and we are looking for people who can help us realise our vision and reach huge audiences around the world.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Building key systems for the game
  • Creative and Technical problem solving; helping to set and maintain standards
  • Inspiring the rest of the team and striving for quality in all areas
  • Assisting the Technical Director in mentoring the programming team

Skills and Knowledge:

  • C# or C++ experience
  • Experience of code review and best practice processes
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback to constantly improve
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment; friendly, collaborative, pragmatic, patient
  • The more practical Unity knowledge you have the better
  • Experience in shipping gameplay systems in 4+ titles
